WE ARE ONLY HERE TO LOVE
by Selia Qynn, 9/91

You left to start without a warning, your solitary journey home.
And though I never meant to miss you, 'til we are one, I am alone.
When someone dies, people will tell you it is best to let them go.
Could be, but this I know for certain, they guess at things they cannot know.

Life is fragile and so fleeting. Stardust the world is made of.
We only really have each other, And we are only here to love.
And I loved you. And you loved me, without condition or demand.
And for the hour, for the moment, we held forever in our hands.

So here am I in all my weakness wanting to hold you so much.
Not hold you back from where you're going,
Just one more time to feel your touch.
I hear your laughter as you tell me, "Impossible dreamer, do not cry.
Heaven is near and I am with you, and you will know that by and by."

"Another smile will make you sparkle. Another's kiss will touch your lips.
As it is, and so it should be, for I am one with all that is.

And I love you and you love me, without condition or demand;
And for the hour, for the moment, we hold forever in our hands."

We are only here to love, without condition or demand.
So take this hour, tender moment, and hold it careful in your hands.
'Cause once its gone, it is not over. Feelings go on and on and on.
Only tomorrow to remember, yesterday is never gone.

Life is fragile and so fleeting. Stardust the world is made of.
We only really have each other and we are only here to love.
