KEEP IT TO YOURSELF
by Selia Qynn, 4/18/94

Don't treat me like a projection screen
For your inner dialogue;
Or wander off illogically into a cosmic fog.

Keep it to yourself.
I don't like wearing your projection.

Keep it to yourself.
This must be some left field direction
That you're moving in;
And may I say you've come a long way.
Where was it you began?
Around is always such a long way.

You say you see yourself in me.
I say I don't think so.
You see you instead of me, my friend.
The star of your own show.

What was it that you said?
Did I understand you clearly?
You really want to help,
But you barely even know me.
Keep it to yourself.
Your advice is given blindly
You should try it on yourself.
Does it fit or does it bind you?

You share your pearls of wisdom
Like the only one who knows.
Delusion rears its ugly head.
I think I have to go.

You're so big on advice,
But you're so short on vision.
Just keep it to yourself.
I'm really not your mission.
Keep it to yourself.
From you I need protection.
Keep it to yourself.
I don't like wearing your projection.
