I FEEL THE SUN
by Selia Qynn 8/16/92

Let me tell you something, I've got something to say.
I'm reaching for the sun and I will get there oneday.
You can tell me I'm wrong, or you can wish me luck.
Just because I'm rooted doesn't mean I'm stuck.

I see the sun, it's energy, Shining down on me.
I feel the heat. Oh, what a thrill. And I turn it into chlorophyll.

Part of me is here in this meadow fair,
Another part of me is also over there.
Because I'm connected underneath, you know.
I'm really altogether, though it may not show.

I'm talking about the invisible part.
The connection between us even when we're apart.
You might not believe me when I tell you so;
Every time you smile, another flower grows.

It's like the sun, it's energy, shining down on me.
I feel the heat. Oh, what a thrill. And I turn it into chlorophyll.
